Analysis of weight optimization of spiral-annular-wound cylindrical shells with layers having different physicomechanical characteristics

It was shown that an optimality condition based on the requirement of simultaneous failure of the layers makes it possible to obtain laminated cylindrical shells which have been optimized with respect to weight. 2. We analytically obtained conditions for the design parameters at which an optimum design is realized.
