An OPNET Model of SpaceWire and Validation

Space Wire is the new space bus standard proposed by ESA, which has been successfully applied in many projects. With the space network becoming more complicated and its application diversified, we can no longer simply rely on the experience to do network planning and designing, as well as network equipment and protocols' development. OPNET is currently the most widely used network simulation software, but it does not provide standard Space Wire module for direct network simulation. This paper designed an OPNET model according to Space Wire standard and theoretically verified the correctness, providing a simple and effective method for the simulation and analysis of Space Wire network performance.
