Radio acacess communication system and transmitting method for call traffic

1992
PURPOSE: To provide an inexpensive, high-reliability radio access communication system such as a CDMA cellular radio telephone system by using an existing verified system and constitution as much as possible. CONSTITUTION: This system consists of a packet switching communication network which connects a cell 202 to another cell and a public telephone network 100. Traffic of respective calls is packeted and frames carrying packets of calls are multiplexed and repeated by the communication network to obtain high capacity, efficiency, and a rate needed for a traffic transmission and CDMA cellular system. Call processing of each call processing unit is performed by a voice processing function for encoding and decoding, tone insertion, echo erasure, etc., and individual service circuits which perform packet switching, line switching, and PCM traffic switching. A processor compensate variation of asynchronous and call path transmission delay between a cell and a call processing unit. Calls through large-quantity software passing are also handled by the same service circuits.
