The following paper presents an overview of medical imaging platforms and cloud solutions for the case study of cancer diagnostics. It introduces medical breast cancer imaging concept describing the medical apparatuses for breast cancer detection and monitoring, the features of the images they produce and the image processing needed for extracting the significant information for diagnostics. The paper also includes the classification of the medical imaging platforms for the case of breast cancer in accordance of the computing technology they use.
