Intercostal Venography in the Pre‐Operative Assessment of Pulmonary Neoplasm

Summary The rationale and technique of intercostal azygography are described. A small series of 44 examinations is reported. There has been negligible morbidity and films of uniformly high diagnostic quality have been obtained. The value of the examination in pulmonary neoplasm is discussed. It is a means by which mediastinal involvement and operability may be assessed.
