Algorithm and application of solving entropy equation

For a given Shannon entropy of a random variable,a nonlinear equation with multi- variables must be solved to find the corresponding probability distribution.In this paper,an algorithm which transforms a nonlinear Shannon entropy equation with n-variables to at most (n-1) nonlinear equations with one variable is presented.Furthermore,the correctness and the error of the algorithm are discussed in detail.Finally,by the use of the algorithm,an entropy based text watermarking scheme is proposed.
