Effects of adding humates to the fertilizer on the yield and quality of Russet Burbank potatoes

Humic acid derivatives were added to an acid, an alkaline, and a liquid fertilizer. The mixtures were applied in bands at planting time. The addition of the humic acid derivatives to the fertilizers failed to produce a beneficial effect on yield, quality or nutrient uptake which could not be achieved by good fertilization alone.
