A div-curl formulation of the Stokes boundary value problem based on a harmonic representation formula

Abstract On a two-dimensional domain, we establish a div-curl formulation for the Stokes Dirichlet boundary value problem. The derivation of this formulation is based on a Harmonic representation formula given by Kratz. Existence and uniqueness of solutions for the div-curl formulation are proved.
