System optimization design for passive sensor network based on the modified Riccati equation

The passive sensor network has the capabilities against electronic reconnaissance and interference,stealth aerial weap- on,anti-radiation missile,and low-altitude breakthrough.As the supplement to radar,it will play very important roles during a war.In combination with the needs originated from the construction of surveillance early-warning network,an optimization design model for the passive sensor network is presented.In accordance with the optimization design model,an optimization design algorithm based on the modified Riecati equation is proposed.The methods for determining the index set and the target set in optimization process are dis- cussed.Finally,the performance of three configurations is evaluated through numerical simulations.
