CONDUCTIVIDAD Y PERCOLACION DE UN MATERIAL COMPUESTO: OXIDO MAGNETICO-POLIANILINA CONDUCTIVITY AND PERCOLATION IN COMPOSITES: MAGNETIC OXIDE- POLYANILINE

2013
The objective of this work is to study the conductivity of a composite material (iron oxide /polyaniline) in order to determine the minimum ratio that keeps the interconnection between polyaniline particles. For this purpose, systems formed by polyaniline (in its not conductive form: emeraldine) doped with camphorsulfonic acid (CSA) and a magnetic iron oxide (FexOy), (partially encapsulated in polyaniline were prepared by solid mixture. Powders were compacted to 1.3 10 3 MPa. The conductivity of the system as a function of the magnetic iron oxide (P) volume fraction was studied. It was determined, in these experimental conditions, a percolative fraction Pc = 0.131 (38,6 % w/w FexOy) at 300 K. Experimental results indicated that the conductivity present a non-universal critical behavior. These results were analyzed by the Kusy model.
