Waarom is er geen bovengrens op het aantal verdronken vluchtelingen

Novelist Yves Petry requests that the Left sets an upper limit to the number of refugees Belgium can receive. I wonder where the refugees are in my town (less than 2000). It is on TV that we see lots of refugees, in Greece and the jungles of Calais a.o., where they are freezing now. I examine which upper limits are used in our society, for ex. the number of pupils per classroom. There are no upper limits yet for the hundred thousand of babies added yearly, nor the half a million newly registered motor vehicles of all kinds. Both are more dangerous than refugees, but few people will accept their limitation. I propose that the upper limit of refugees drowning in the Mediterranean has already been crossed. Also the limit has been reached of the irresponsible negligence and conscious inaction of most European governments to help all those who flee our wars and postcolonial exploitation.
