Performance Analysis and Optimization of The MCR-WPT System with Uncertain Parameters

2020
Uncertainty in the environment brings great challenges to maintaining high performance for the magnetically-coupled resonant wireless power transfer (MCR- WPT) system. For example, in the underwater MCR-WPT system, uncertain changes in water temperature, salinity, or water velocity may cause changes in the system parameters and decrease the power transmission efficiency drastically. In order to improve the system performance, the uncertain parameters in the MCR-WPT system is analyzed first, and then an interval-based uncertain optimization method is proposed to find the optimal values of the compensation networks in the MCR-WPT system. Numerical simulations are carried out to verify the proposed uncertain optimization method. The results demonstrate that, using the proposed method, the MCR-WPT system can achieve high average power transfer efficiency or good robustness performance when the uncertain parameters vary within certain ranges.
