RF linac for heavy fusion driver

A possible structural design and approximate parameters of a rf linac for HIF driver are given. Bi2+ ions will be accelerated up to an energy of 20 GeV/nucleus with a beam current of 500 mA and beam duration of 2 ms. Some types of ion sources and their performance are considered.
