Perspective on the identification work in Hong Kong operating room

Check system,as one of the core systems of operating room (OR), is an important part to the medical security system. Standardizing the check system and effective implementation has a direct impact on reducing the risk of operation. After practiced in the operating room of Hong Kong(HK) for about 10 months,the author had got a deep understanding and experience of the identification work in the OR of HK,and also had known about that the World Health Organization (WHO) had been carrying out one series of reforming attempts to regulate the operational identification. This article describes and analyzes the patient checking method,the use of wrist bands,how to check and how to record in the operating room of HK,which may provide references for reforming and improving the check system in our OR.
