Analysis on hepatitis C antibody among 10881 Patients before openation in Shanxi ophthalmology hospital

OBJECTIVE To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of Hepatitis C in Shanxi eye hospital,to provide scientific bases for prevention and control strategies.METHODS Hepatitis C antibodies among 10881 preoperative patients were detected by using ELISA.RESULTS The incidence of hepatitis C was 0.72%.Among 10 881 patients 30 males accounted for 37.95%,30 positive cases were detected,accounting for 0.73%,48 cases of females accounted for 62.05%,48 positive cases were detected,accounting for 0.72%.The difference was not statistically significant;4 cases aged 20,accounting for 5.13%,the aged between 20 and 39 were 40 cases,accounting for 51.28%;the aged between 40 and 59 were 21 cases,accounting for 26.92%;13 cases were 60,accounting for 16.67%.CONCLUSION The management of nosocomial infection should be strengthened to establish the comprehensive preventive measure to block the transmission.
