GENERAL THEORY OF CERENKOV RADIATION

Cherenkov radiation emitted by a charge in random motion is considered. Viewpoints corresponding to the Lagrangian and Eulerian of fluid dynamics are introduced. A theorem furnishing Fourier time transforms of potentials and fields generated by a moving elementary charge is obtained. Antitransforms are derived, and applications of the method used are presented- (L.N.N.)
