Sesiones basadas en escenarios clínicos: Una aplicación del aprendizaje basado en la resolución de problemas

2001
The continuing education strategies that have shown a greater effectiveness are those very close related with every day work. In this paper it is proposed a pattern to make clinical educational meetings with a problem based learning methodoly. In this kind of learning is oneself who choose what should be known. One of the most important benefit of this methodology is that it is possible to reach abilities to learn for all life Problem based learning may be performed individually (identifing knowledge gaps, making a question that can be answered, looking for answers, assessing information and reflecting about its repercussion in daily practice), but it may also be practised at groups. Groups should be formed from three to ten people working together. It is always very necessary the presence of a tutor who should moderate the meeting. It is not necesary that he plays a leadership role or that he displays the clinical problem. The meetings need of two parts: at the first part the clinical setting is showed and knowledge, hability and attitude gaps are identified. At the second one doubts and questions presented at the first part are solved and a solution is proposed reflecting about which is the practice consequence for the compiled information.
