Base-promoted hydrophosphination of para-quinone methides under ultrasonic irradiation: a rapid and efficient synthesis of diarylmethyl phosphorus oxides
2020
Abstract A base-promoted hydrophosphination of para-quinone methides with H-phosphorus oxides for the construction of C P bonds under ultrasonic irradiation is reported. This methodology provides a rapid and efficient approach for the synthesis of diarylmethyl phosphorus oxides in good to excellent yields (87–99% yield) at room temperature in merely one minute. The synthetic potential of this protocol is demonstrated by the gram-scale reaction affording 4.71 g of pure product in 95% isolated yield.
