Zero-delay electronic image stabilization method based on digital circuit and sparse point registration

2015
The invention discloses a zero-delay electronic image stabilization method based on a digital circuit and sparse point registration, belongs to the field of image processing, and aims to solve the problem of real-time computing of electronic image stabilization. The embodiment of the invention designs a sparse point registration algorithm which is suitable to be implemented through a digital circuit and is based on parallel computing, designs a complete real-time electronic image stabilization scheme on the basis, and develops a prototype system taking an FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) as a computing main body. Over 99 percent of computing amount including image jitter compensation is implemented on a digital circuit assembly line. The electronic image stabilization method implemented by the embodiment of the invention has no frame delay regardless of an image resolution; all computing is completed during image acquisition; and an optimal real-time performance is realized. Through adoption of the method, the stability of videos can be maintained to the maximum extent under the situations of large-amplitude rotational vibration and translational vibration of a camera not specific to any specific scene, and the camera can move optionally and turn to any scene.
