Two Views: Do College Therapists Underdiagnose Bipolar II Disorder?

For a variety of reasons I’ve been spending a lot of time lately reading about bipolar disorder, especially bipolar II disorder (BP II). A series of research findings, clinical data, and conjectures by “experts” (I think they are, but I’m fairly new to a serious study of this area) have come together in my mind to raise some concerns for me about how we address disordered mood presentations, at least how we did it when I was the director of the counseling center at the University of Arkansas.
