Pattern of vertical farm in Chicago and its revelation.

Vertical farm is also called a stereo planting farm,which makes farmland developed into a multistoried building,where crop growth environment is simulated and the recyctable energy and greenhouse technology is fully utilized.In this kind of farm,various high efficient agriculture productions can be proceeded.Taking Chicago vertical farm as an example,this paper analyzed the operation mechanism,commercial model,and existing problems of the vertical farm.Moreover,suggestions for accelerating the exploration and practice of urban vertical farm in China were raised from the aspects of strategic study,technology research and development(RD),collaborative innovation,and platform construction,etc.
