Discussion on Some Problems of Application of TOPSIS Method

In this paper,from the point of indifference curve theory and marginal substitution ratio,we use the utility function theory to get two-types basic TOPSIS value functions.Then,based on the diversity-driven principle,we establish four kinds of evaluation model in two types.In order to obtain objective weights,accelerating genetic algorithm is used to solve the models.Finally,in order to verify the validity of the method and discuss the impact of different preferences TOPSIS functions and different weights determination methods on the TOPSIS method,we apply the models to flood control of Fengman Reservoir.The results show that the proposed method can reflect classical TOPSIS idea better and the impact of TOPSIS evaluation function is not obvious on the determination results,but the weight has greater impact on them.
