Chebyshev polynomials of the second kind in filter design

The objective of this paper is to generate new low-pass FIR filters with linear phase response. The Chebyshev orthogonal polynomials of the second kind are used to generate the design forms of the new non-recursive filters. Comparative analyses of frequency response characteristics of these filters with filters suggested earlier in the literature are given for the same design parameters in a few examples.
