Drive axle and vehicle

In order to provide a drive axle for a motor vehicle, which is simple and space-saving and inexpensive to produce, it is proposed that the drive axis comprises two wheel bearing devices for resilient and damped superposition of two wheels and a transverse support device, wherein the two wheel bearing devices are attached to opposite ends of the crossbar device wherein the cross-member device comprises a receiving space in which one or more components of a drive system of the motor vehicle located or locatable.
