The distribution and drug resistance analysis of pathogens in sputum samples

2013
Objective To analysis the distribution and drug resistance analysis in sputum samples in our hospital so as to provide the basis for clinical anti-infection treatment. Methods Isolated and cultured pathogens according to the national clinical laboratory procedures.Strain was identified by CRYSTAL microbial automatic identification system.Drug susceptibility testing was conducted by the bioMerieux drug based on unscented. Results 634 pathogens were detected from sputum specimens of patients with respiratory tract infections. The most common pathogens were klebsiella pneumoniae(21.6%),pseudomonas aeruginosa(12.3%),candida albicans(11.2%),acinetobacter baumannii(7.7%),colon coli bacteria(4.7%),klebsiella oxytoca(4.7%),enterobacter cloacae(3.0%).Drug susceptibility results show that klebsiella pneumoniae was sensitive to vancomycin, imipenem and cefpodoxime.Gram negative bacilli show highly sensitive to ofloxacin, imipenem, cefotaxime.Fungal infection show upward trend and is highly sensitive to amphotericin B and nystatin. Conclusion Sputum bacterial culture and sensitivity test provide a very important guiding significance for the clinical use of drug.
