Bandwidth Improvement of Transparent Meshed Patch Antennas Using Stacking Technique

2021
In this paper, two squared optically transparent meshed patch antennas are stacked on top of each other to achieve the bandwidth of 3.5 times higher than the single-layer squared meshed patch antenna. Both layers are designed on glass substrate Corning 7070 to maintain transparency and integrability with solar cells. The design frequency is 2.45 GHz, and the gain variation is less than 1 dB in the entire bandwidth.
