A summary discussion of the development of HIV / AIDS policy in Brazil.

This paper summarizes and discusses the development of HIV/AIDS policy in Brazil. It states that while the actions of many nongovernmental organizations religious institutions and some private sector businesses have made some limited headway in seeking to broaden the basis of the HIV/AIDS response a broader social and political mobilization around HIV/AIDS remains a task for the future.
