The invention relates to a lightweight concrete having absorptive acoustic properties. Concrete comprises a hydraulic binder, water and fragments of textiles, said fragments being present in a weight proportion between 5 and 25% of the total mass of the concrete to the fresh state. The invention also relates to a method of manufacturing such concrete as well as a sound barrier formed at least in part with such a concrete.
