Abant İzzet Baysal Üniversitesi Beden Eğitimi Ve Spor Yüksekokulunda Öğrenim Gören Öğrencilerinin Umutsuzluk Düzeyleri

In this study, hopelessness level of students at Abant Izzet Baysal University, School of Physical Education and Sport was determined according to their gender, class level and department. 110 female and 191 male students with a total of 301, from 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th class levels of Physical Education Teaching, Coaching and Sport Management departments were participated in this study. Data was collected through Bech Hopelessness Scale which was developed by Beck et all. (1974) and translated into Turkish by Seber (1991). In the analysis of data, one way Anova and t test were used. It was found that there were significant differences in the students’ hopelessness level according to their gender. The male students ( =4.81) have higher level of hopelessness than female students ( =3.76). Also, according to the results, there were no significant differences in hopelessness level of students according to their class level and department
