CT imaging findings and the value of diagnosis about adrenal myelolipoma

Objective To study the findings and diagnosis value of the multislice spiral CT about adrenal myelolipoma.Methods The imaging findings of 9cases of adrenal myelolipoma proved by surgery and pathology were retrospectively analyzed,and compared with the ultrasound and the pathological results.Results 9cases including fatty tissues and cicatricial band were characterized by round or oval mass with mixed density.Contrast enhancement of the masses totally showed slight cicatricial band and no enhancement in fatty tissues.The diognosis rate of CT for these lesions(88.9%) were apparently higher than ultrasound(55.6%).Conclusion CT findings of adrenal myelolipoma showed certain feature.Combined the location of lesion,shape form,density and contrast enhancement findings help to improve diagnosis accuracy.CT is the primary imaging method for diagnosing adrenal myelolipoma.
