Comments on “The Gilbert–Holland FDTD Thin Slot Model Revisited: An Alternative Expression for the In-Cell Capacitance”

The supposed inaccuracy found by the authors of when using the results of stems from a misapplication of the referenced equation. The authors of neglect to include the effective permeability of the slot in their simulation of a finite thin slot in a three dimensional scattering simulation. Furthermore it is pointed out that the authors' Fig.3 is a physical impossibility.
