Adaptive Canny Operator Based Digital Image Processing Scheme for Photoshop Filter Plugin Unit

For the application of image processing of large scale high precision scanner project, improvement research and concrete realization of Canny algorithm based on plugin system in Photoshop are studied in this article. First, the filtering function and filtering window are adaptively selected according to Gauss filtering principle and characteristic statistical analysis. Then, 3×3 SoUel edge operator is used to replace 2×2 finite difference in neighborhood to compute the gradient magnitude. Finaly, the high-low threshold of Canny operatpr is computed by mean value and variance mean of image. The experimental results indicate that our method overcomes the edge information loss caused by traditional canny algorithm, and it has strong adaptability in detecting edge details.
