Review of Abnormal Data Identification and Correction Techniques in Active Distribution Networks

2019
With the rapid development of telecommunication and manufacturing technologies, advanced measurement devices, such as micro phasor measurement units and advanced metering infrastructures, have been increasing applied in active distribution networks to improve their observability and controllability. In the big data era of electric power, accurate data collection is essential to senior applications such as state estimation and fault diagnosis. However, the existence of abnormal data is inevitable due to many factors including communication delay, data loss and cyber-attacks etc, causing the abnormal data identification and correction to be a hot research topic. Considering a great variety of data identification and correction techniques have been proposed with different performance, this study presents a thorough review on these existing techniques. Firstly, the classification and causes of abnormal data are introduced; then popular abnormal data identification and correction methods are compared in details and summarized; on this basis, some potentially key research directions about data identification and correction are suggested.
