Two-Dimensional Fracture Network Simulation of Deep Rock in Water Sealed Underground Oil Tank Area

2011
Low permeability fractured rocks are the best choice for the construction of water sealed underground oil tank.Two-dimensional fracture network simulation was used to study the stability and fracture flow characteristics of the deep rock in water sealed underground oil tank.Fracture network and linear density figure was obtained from fracture statistics both of the drilling and the surface. The advantages of statistical parameters from Intelligent Drillhole Optical Imager were further analyzed in the simulation. The results show that there are mainly two groups of similar orthogonal fractures in the simulation area.Compared with the fractures on the ground surface, the fracture developed less in the simulation area and the stability of the rock mass was higher. The simulation result could further be used in the cavern water seal effect assessment.
