Influence of process parameters on the viscoelastic behavior of NBR-cell 2-nanocomposite-mixtures

2006
The materials properties of NBR-Cell 2 nanocomposites processed via dynamical co-coagulation process show an enhancement in comparison to conventional filled materials. Experiments with the variation of cellulose content, acid concentration and pressure demonstrate an optimum in the materials properties for a given combination of process parameters. To make these optimums predictable a systematic variation of process parameters were accomplished. Comparative RPA measurements of the uncured NBR-Cell2 nanocomposites and of conventional filled systems (carbon black or technical cellulose grades) show for both systems a non-linearity in the viscoelastic properties, but the strengthening effects at low cellulose contents in the former system are remarkable (www.leo.org). The influence of the process parameter like pressure and acid concentration at equal cellulose content can be clearly seen.
