Oscillation alternation in pH oscillator with additional feedback species

2020
Abstract Multi-feedback pH oscillation systems are built by adding active species to provide extra feedback processes in an oscillatory reaction system. Experimental and simulation results reveal that extra feedback may often change the oscillation period, since the additional reactions usually accelerate or retard the original feedback processes. However, it is also possible that oscillation amplification or elimination occurs as the consequence of special coupling reaction. As oscillatory reactions are often employed as driving force to produce autonomous periodical motion, these results may have potential significance for the design of functional system realized on the basis of oscillation reactions.
