Überführung yon neoxanthin in diadinochrom

Abstract The formation of neoxanthin into diadinochrom. Treatment of neoxanthin with acidic chlorom (0.02 N HC1) results in the formation of three reaction products. One of these compounds is identical with the fufanoid epoxid of diatoxathin = furanoid diadinoxathin = diadinochorom. The reacteon tgherefore involves the transformation of an allenic compound into an acetylene.
