Parallel-antiparallel measurements in collinear fast beam laser spectroscopy

1981
Abstract In collinear fast beam-laser spectroscopy, additional information can be obtained when, between two consecutive measurements, the direction of the laserbeam is inverted with regard to the atom beam. From these measurements accurate isotope shifts (0.1 MHz) and mass values (100 keV) can be extracted without knowledge of the effective acceleration voltage.
