RAPID METHOD FOR RADIUM SEPARATION FOR MEASURING EMISSIONS

1963
A rapid analysis of 5- to 6-g specimens (with Ra/sup 226/ content 7 x 10/ sup -12/ g and Th/sup 232/ 0.7 x 10/sup -6/ g) in a corundum crucible for specimen analysis with sodium peroxide and citric and hydrochloric acid for stabilizing the solution is described. Tabulated data for various rock specimens indicates a sufficient accuracy of the method. (R.V.J.)
