Synthesis and crystal structure of a novel pentanulcear Mo/Cu/S cluster[MoS_4Cu_4(dppm)_4](NCS)_2·4(CH_3)_2CHOH

The title compound,[MoS_4Cu_4(dppm)_4](NCS)_2·4(CH_3)_2CHOH,was prepared and its structure was determined y X-ray diffraction with crystallographic data as follows:C_(114)H_(120)Cu_4MoN_2O_4P_8S_6,Mr=2372.49,monoclinic,space group P2_1/a,a=2.0536(2),b=1.8095(2),c=3.1951(4)nm,β=100.220(4)°,V=11.684.6(23)nm~3,Z=4,D_c=1.349 g/cm~3,μ=10.87cm~(-1),F(000)=4896,R=0.085 and R_w=0.089。The structure of the [MoS_4Cu_4(dppm)_4]~(2+) dication consists of the tetrahedral MoS_4 unit surrounded by a sixteen-membered [-Cu-P-C-P-]_4 ring.
