The invention discloses a fertilizer capable of improving the content of sulforaphane in cultivated vegetable and an application method thereof. The fertilizer contents 30-150ppm of nitrogen, 8-128ppm of sulfur and 25-200ppm of methyl jasmonate. The method for improving the content of sulforaphane in the cultivated vegetable by using the fertilizer is as follow: the fertilizer is applied to vegetable plants. The fertilizer and the method provided by the invention can be used for solving the problem that the content of sulforaphane is low and have wide application prospects.
