Wet waste processing in the UK

Wet waste, in the UK, may be divided into two categories; liquid effluents, that is the bulk High, Medium and Low Active Waste generated by processes such as reprocessing, fuel manufacture and power production, plus the wet solid wastes such as flocs, sludges, spent resins, etc, that require some level of processing prior to storage or disposal. This paper discusses both types of waste, but concentrates on the wet solid wastes.
