Elogio da Desordem – do monólogo interior instrumental à “Música do pensamento”. Contextualização no Teatro instrumental

The aim of this article is to present a first formulation of a concept, which I start calling “Interior instrumental monologue” and end up designating “Music of Thought” (Steiner 2012). It is a concept, which I apply to a trilogy of solos, which I composed and performed and which can be framed within the context of Instrumental Theatre because of its various extra-musical resources. For the elaboration of this concept I also used the ideas of Artaud (‘theatre of cruelty’) and George Steiner (Poetry of Thought – From Helenism to Celan).
