Resin composition for composite material, intermediate and composite material

1992
PURPOSE: To enhance the strength of a resin composition for a composite material using an epoxy resin, a hollow microsphere, a foaming agent, a curing agent and a curing accelerator at low temperatures and improve the handleability in preservation at the low temperatures. CONSTITUTION: The resin composition for a composite material is characterized by including (A) an epoxy resin, (B) a hollow microsphere, (C) a foaming agent, (D) a curing agent, (E) a curing accelerator and (F) fiber. Furthermore, the composite material is characterized by using a foam obtained by expanding and curing the resin composition for the composite material as a constituent element. Fiber is added into the resin composition for the composite material to enhance the strength in preservation at low temperatures. Thereby, the handleability is improved. When a tubular unit is molded by using an intermediate material for the composite material, the resin composition for the composite material is cured to have a certain strength. As a result, the partial separation of the cured product does not occur in taking out the molded body from a mandrel. COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
