Epithermal neutron multiplicity counter (ENMC) measurement description and results

This work is a LANL contribution to comparison of two multiplicity counting techniques within a Next Generation Safeguards Initiative (NGSI) project. This project, driven by a limited availability of {sup 3}He, aims to evaluate the capabilities and limitations of the LLNL-designed Liquid Scintillator Multiplicity Counter (LSMC) for its possible use in safeguards applications. A comprehensive comparison with the proven but {sup 3}He intensive ENMC is performed, using materials that are representative of a real safeguards environment.
