Sudanese Australians Perspectives and Experiences

This chapter examines data gathered from focus groups conducted with Sudanese Australians. The data is divided into three broad areas: individual and structural post-settlement barriers; Government interventions into family life, and perspectives of Australian criminal justice. Most importantly, the chapter is focused on Sudanese voices—Sudanese Australians’ general perspectives and personal experiences of post-settlement and in particular criminal justice.
