ELUCIDATION OF STRUCTURES OF NEW ELLAGITANNINS FROM PLANTS OF EUPHORBIACEOUS

A chemical investigation of tannins in three Euphorbia species (E. himufusa., E. franchetii B. Fedtsch., E.canescens L.) has led to the isolation and characterization of five new hydrolyzable tannins thogather with thirty known compounds. The structures of these tannins were established on the basis of spectroscopic and chemical evidence.
