Investigation of Multifunctional Features in new Double Perovskite PbSrBiNbO6 for possible devices

2021
Abstract This work reports the transport, ferroelectric and optical characteristics of solid solution method synthesized PbSrBiNbO6 polycrystalline double perovskite. The study of the structural and geometric features was carried out using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) technique and Scanning Electron Microscopy. The elemental analysis was done using energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy method. The optical sensitivity was analyzed using photo-luminescence (PL) spectra and band gap was estimated using UV-visible spectroscopy, which revealed that the compound might have potential applications in photovoltaic devices. The variations of dielectric properties were studied at various temperatures and frequencies. The analysis of the ferroelectric and transport properties was done from Polarization-Electric Field (P-E), impedance, modulus and conductivity curves.
