The government is pursuing a series of policies aiming to apply to all high schools in 2022 through national tasks and follow-up measures about the high school credit system as the representative educational issue. If the high school credit system is implemented in full scale, subjects that are not designated as compulsory subjects like Chinese character education. Because, these subjects do not benefit greatly in college entrance exams are likely to be excluded from the student's choice. This paper examines the current high school credit system-related policies, and explores how to develop the next Chinese character education in high school and the curriculum. However, as a result of reviewing the high school credit system policy, it was determined that the implementation of high school credit system could be both a crisis and an opportunity. Major discussion of this study are as follow. First, in view of the revision of the next Chinese character and curriculum in mind, the educational goals and directions of the Chinese character subjects are maintained in relation to the standard science and the subject of Chinese character education. Second, it will be necessary to actively discuss whether to choose the direction of strengthening the character as an instrumental textbook of the Chinese textbook. Third, the way to make a compromise between pros and cons about Chinese character.
