Preliminary Utility Study of a Short Video as a Daily Report in Teleworking.

2020
Modern corporate activities are increasingly moving from the traditional way to teleworking. However, as teleworking spreading, the problem of declining employee engagement among teleworkers also comes to the fore. To address this issue, we propose a new approach based on the concept of interactive people analytics. It uses daily video reports to increase interaction between organization members in teleworking, and by analyzing video reports it is expected to detect changes in employee engagement for its maintenance. In this paper, a utility study of using a short video as a daily report in teleworking is presented as well. From the analysis of paralinguistic cues of collected video report samples with corresponding ratings on engagement, it is found there exists relation between paralinguistic cues and engagement in the video.
